Thinking Interdisciplinary
Logo des Forum Informationswirtschaft e.V.

Information Engineering and Management graduates have learned to think beyond traditional boundaries. They approach problems from the different perspectives of computer science, business management and law.

Graduates of the program have creative problem-solving skills that companies require to gain and maintain a competitive advantage.

  • IEM graduates organize the usage of information as an economic good.
  • IEM graduates analyze and manage the internal information flow in companies.
  • IEM graduates establish and evaluate complex information systems and therefore facilitate efficient and effective user interaction.

During their studies, students have the opportunity to gain international experience. Most spend one or more semesters at a university abroad and work as interns throughout Europe, Australia, and North America.

Graduates pursue careers in corporate, government and academic settings in professions that include information services, technology and law.

These professions are inherently interdisciplinary and require knowledge in the fields of information and knowledge management, telecommunication, software engineering, business management, economics, operations research and jurisprudence.
